Computools LLC actively prioritises reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. To achieve this goal, we have implemented remote work for the majority of our employees. As a result, our performance metrics are as follows:
Energy Consumption of Home Offices
The average energy consumption of a computer and peripherals is 1 kWh per day per person. If an employee works 20 days per month:
135 × 20 × 1 × 0.4 = 1,080 kg CO₂/month
Transportation
For 10 people commuting to the office, the average distance is 10 km per day by car (0.12 kg CO₂/km). If they work 20 days per month:
10 × 10 × 20 × 0.12 = 240 kg CO₂/month
Business Trips
Since business trips in the company are rare, let's assume that, on average, one flight (500 km) per month per person generates 100 kg CO₂. For the entire company, this would be:
10 × 100 = 1,000 kg CO₂/month
Summary:
- Energy Consumption of Home Offices: 1,080 kg CO₂/month
- Office Energy Consumption: 80 kg CO₂/month
- Transportation (Commuting to the Office): 240 kg CO₂/month
- Business Trips: 1,000 kg CO₂/month
Total CO₂ Emissions per Month:
1,080 + 80 + 240 + 1,000 = 2,400 kg CO₂/month
Measures Implemented for Further Reduction of Emissions
- Investment in Renewable Energy Sources.
- Upgrade of equipment for employees to reduce energy consumption.
- Encouraging eco-friendly transportation for office staff.
We continue to explore new ways to reduce the company’s carbon footprint and do everything possible to support environmental sustainability.
